Sweater Weather

It's been a warm fall so far, but today is a little cooler, so Chloe Grace (painted by Joyce Mathews) is wearing a hand-knit sweater over her romper.  The sweater pattern is from the Etsy Shop Sewsallday and the romper pattern is from the Etsy Shop Buttonsnbutterflies.

Autumn day - sweater weather

Autumn Day

I made matching shoes!  I used Sissy Lingle's pattern and tutorial and it was great, as usual.

I will likely list this outfit in my own etsy shop in the near future!

Bitty Belle in Pink Petticoat

I made this as a custom order for someone on Etsy. I just love Bitty Belle. She reminds me why Helen Kish is one of my two favorite doll artists!

I did finally update my etsy shop, too (link over to the right).  There are a few dresses in there and some underthings for various sized dolls.

Another dress on three dolls

Here's another dress I made, soon to be on etsy, shown on three different dolls that it fits! (Bitty Belle by Helen Kish, 10.5 inch doll by Heidi Plusczok, and Byuri by Iplehouse.)

One outfit on three dolls

I made a little romper. It'll go on etsy soon. It's a little loose in the legs on Alice Cherry Blossom (the piggy) but it fits Ringo and Puki Fee Ante perfectly!

Sewing for Real Dolls

Overalls and Cute Face

Olivia is growing!  She's 7 months old and about 15 pounds.  I made her some overalls today from a KwikSew pattern.  The KwikSew book of basics for babies is great.  The patterns are easy to follow and simple enough to allow customization however you want!

In other news, I plan on restocking my etsy shop in January.  I have two items done already and more cut out and ready to sew.  I don't imagine it will be an enormous number of outfits, but do keep an eye here for the announcement that the shop is stocked and possibly some sneak peaks as I get a chance to photograph the outfits already completed.

Madeline, Pukifee Ante, is modeling a new little dress I completed last weekend. I will add it to the etsy shop soon. It will fit Pukifee, Pipos Junior Pi, Lati Yellow and most likely Alice Cherry Blossom.  Edited to add: it definitely fits Alice.  I just tried it on and it's super-cute!

One Outfit, Three Dolls

I made this outfit and realized that it can fit on lots of different dolls, from my 12" Bethany to my 10" Rosen Lied Beige! The dress is made of a lightweight cotton print (don't remember where I got it! I've been de-stashing and it was in my peach cubby). The shrug is from 100% wool and is from a Froggy Duds pattern.

And on April (Beige, Tuesday's Child from Rosen Lied).

In other news, I have bought a Rosen Lied Sage Boy and he's on his way. :)

Ringo is such a cute kitty! I made her a new little red dress. I will likely list it on etsy after photographing it on a few other dolls (Ellery Kish, Alice Cherry Blossom).

Cute toys and aids for disabled children

My little nephew has Lowe Syndrome, which causes him to have some physical, visual and other disabilities.  In his quest to find good adaptive products for Noah, my brother Jon has not had good luck.  Being a woodwork (craftiness runs in our genes!), he started to make things for Noah and has decided to offer them to the public through his website and etsy.  There are toys that any kid would love, too.  Look how cute:

There are puzzles on Jon's etsy shop and also things like Rocker Boards to help with balance and coordination!
If you know anyone with children with disabilities, please check out Jon's site.  :)

Willa's New Overalls

Willa is wearing some new overalls that we made for Etsy. I'll list them in the next few days. There is a picture of the full outfit on my Flickr account (just click through the photo).

Bethany's New Outfit

I ordered a pattern from Designs by Jude and made Bethany an outfit. It will be listed on etsy within a week or so.

New Etsy Listing

I put one of my entries from the Little Darlings Yahoo Group fashion contest on etsy for sale.  Perhaps your girl needs a Christmas formal outfit?  Or an outfit for a holiday concert?

Zoe Effner

Zoe is modeling the newest dress I made.  This dress is actually perfectly sized for Narsha and I designed it for Narsha, but it also fits Zoe.  It's listed in my etsy shop.

Carrot Embroidery

Pipos Curo in carrot embroidery

My Curo is modeling a drop-waisted light green cotton sleeveless dress with a wool felt embroidered jacket. I made two of this dress and put one on etsy, but the one on etsy has a blank front. Whoever purchases it can specify what they would like embroidered on the jacket front.

New Dress on Etsy

Emma in Blue Jacket

Emma's outfit has been listed on Etsy.  It consists of the sleeveless tier dress (full view below on Narsha, or check out my Flickr account to see it on Emma), wool felt hand-embroidered jacket, hair pin, and lace-edged bloomers.

Late Summer

It's getting cool at night and the local kids all go back to school in just two days.  This time of year always reminds me of stronger colors like dark purples and golds.  I made Zoe Effner a dress inspired by the season.   The lace is a lovely lace I found on etsy and the ribbon is silk.

Bunny!

I love bunnies.  I have had a bunny as a pet since my dad brought me home Butterscotch when I was four.  I still have a bunny, Dennis Hopper, who is now seven or so (old for a Netherland Dwarf) and still a happy little guy.  I have wanted Curo Bunny from Pipos since I first saw her and I finally broke down and ordered one and she came the other day.  She's so cute!  Her outfit is up on etsy, though--she told me pink is not her color, really.  She would prefer something in light carrot.  Or grass green...  She's so cute I can barely stand it.

Super Cute!

I forgot how much I loved my Ringo until I got her out and made a new dress for her. She's just too cute.

Etsy update

I made a second copy of the dress I made for my Effner girl, but I embellished it more and put it on etsy. Hopefully someone will enjoy it for their Beige or similar-sized doll. I particularly enjoyed the embroidery on the petticoat (closeup below). I used an embroidery pattern from one of the Japanese craft books that I got in Seattle in July. I'll also be putting a cute little green dress for Ringo on etsy later on, too.
